ECL Observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 with a Collective Pledge for Cleanliness Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) marked the commencement of Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 at its Headquarters with enthusiasm and a renewed commitment towards cleanliness, hygiene, and sustainable living. The inaugural programme was graced by Shri Satish Jha, CMD, ECL, Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (HR), ECL, and Shri Girish Gopinath Nair, Director (Technical), ECL, along with senior officials and employees. The event began with the administration of the Swachhata Oath, led by Shri Satish Jha, CMD, ECL, reaffirming the collective resolve of employees to maintain cleanliness, adopt hygienic practices, and contribute towards building a cleaner and healthier workplace and society. Addressing the gathering, the CMD emphasized that cleanliness is a shared responsibility and encouraged employees to actively participate in the various awareness programmes, cleanliness drives, and engagement activities planned during the fortnight. He also highlighted the importance of sustainable sanitation practices and environmental consciousness in furthering the vision of the nationwide cleanliness movement. As part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2026, a series of cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, and employee participation initiatives will be conducted across ECL establishments from 16th June to 30th June 2026, reinforcing the organisation's commitment to environmental stewardship and workplace excellence. The programme concluded with a cleanliness drive within the premises, symbolizing ECL's dedication to fostering a cleaner, greener, and more responsible future.
