1. Brief Outline on CSR Policy of the Company:

ECL has adopted and implemented CIL CSR Policy 2024, in line with the amendments of the Companies Act, 2013 and CSR Amendment Rules, 2022. The DPE Guidelines (F. No. 15(13)/2013-DPE(GM) dated 21st October 2014, effective from 01.04.2014) are also adhered to.

Our CSR initiatives integrate business with social processes, with a primary focus on underprivileged, marginalised, and Project Affected People (PAPs) residing around ECL’s operational areas. As per the Policy, 80% of CSR funds are to be utilised within a 25 km radius of ECL HQ/Area/Project and the remaining 20% within the State(s) of operation.

The ratio of 80:20 may be relaxed by the Board on the recommendation of the CSR Committee, provided that at least 60% of expenditure is incurred within 25 km of Project Sites/Area HQ/Company HQ, and the rest within the State(s) where ECL operates. It is ensured that the poor and needy sections of society derive maximum benefit to support their development and sustainability.
