3. Energy Conservation Measures

To enhance energy efficiency across different units and establishments, the following steps were undertaken:

  • Replaced 450 conventional fans with BLDC fans (Super Fans).
  • Replaced 152 old air conditioners with energy-efficient models.
  • Replaced 12 old water heaters with energy-efficient versions.
  • Replaced 2,508 conventional lights with LED lights.
  • Replaced 5 old motors with energy-efficient motors.
  • Installed 50 auto-timers for street lights.

Anticipated Outcomes:

  • Estimated energy savings: 1.5 million units.
  • Monetary savings: Rs. 1.10 crore (approximately) for the year 2023–24.
  • Reduction in CO₂ emissions: 1,237 tonnes.

Additional Benefit:

Improvement in Power Factor resulted in a net gain of Rs. 11.95 crore (approximately) in FY 2023–24.
