Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha
Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha assumed charge as Director (HR) at Eastern Coalfields Limited on 15th January, 2025. In his professional journey spanning for more than three decades, he has excelled in multiple roles and has immense experience in navigating challenges and complexities across various facets of Human Resource Management.
The inspirational journey of Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha started in July 1994 when he joined Coal India Limited (CIL) as a Welfare Officer Trainee at Central Coalfields Limited, one of the subsidiaries of CIL.
Shri Sinha has the experience of leading the Personnel & Administration (P&A) Department across multiple collieries of Central Coalfields Limited with utmost dedication for 16 long years. In his subsequent transition to the Vigilance Department of CCL, he managed disciplinary actions and legal matters for seven years. His contribution further extended to the Legal Division of the Land and Revenue Section in the subsidiary.
In January 2022, Shri Sinha assumed the charge of the Head of the Recruitment Division at CIL managing recruitment of executives. In May 2024, he was further entrusted with additional responsibility as the Head of the Human Resource Development Division of CIL thus driving talent development and strengthening of human capital across CIL.
His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Degree in Personnel Management from the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi and a Diploma in Training and Development from the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), New Delhi. Shri Sinha has also pursued advanced training at ESCP Business School, Paris for evolving his leadership and management skills.
